We did a house wash in the weekend. Lovely property you wouldn’t have thought that the house was particularly dirty. House is situated on a main road and it is quite amazing how much traffic residue builds up on your property. We do soft washes on the exterior of the building as this prevents any damage to the paint work. We use a solution to brush down the building, after we have wet it down of course, and then we hose it all off. The amount of black grit that we washed away was quite surprising I must say. It was a different house when we had finished. Also another interesting thing that I noticed was that the window frames had quite a bit of mold on them and because it had been left so long it would not budge. We got rid a majority of the mold but unfortunately it had stained so will need to be painted to bring it up nice and white. This is why regular cleaning is a must if you want to preserve the life of your paint work. A bit of paint on those window sills will bring it up as good as new again!
